In a surprising partnership that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the official statement, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material

Players who finish the quest will obtain an special katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Addition

This release also adds the game's third free story addition, titled "The Mystery."
